Rehabilitation/replacement of existing heat source in the factory and building improves electricity and heating efficiency of the facilities as a whole. These measures promote energy efficiency and lead to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions.
Introducing a management/control system to monitor energy consumption can also realize even greater efficiencies, resulting in further GHG emission reductions.

Low Carbon Hotel-a New Energy Management System for Vietnam (V-BEMS)Vietnam

The project promotes energy efficiency in two hospitals in Vietnam through introduction of 500 units of inverter air-conditioner. In Vietnam, use of inefficient non-inverter air-conditioner is widely prevalent.

The project develops Energy Management System (EMS) to efficiently control multiple inverter air-conditioners at a time. Also, project installs total heat exchanger to reduce heat loss by ventilation which promotes energy efficiency and improved air quality in the hospital.

The project is supported by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as JCM Demonstration Project.

Lao PDR Energy Efficient Datacenter Project (LEED)Lao PDR

The project introduces the first environmentally friendly national datacenter with modular design technology in Lao PDR.

In Lao PDR, development and introduction of IT system is still underway. There is no datacenter available for national level institutions and international companies.

The datacenter integrates IT and cooling systems, with both IT equipment and indirect outside-air cooling system in easy-to-ship 20-foot containers. It is expected to achieve approximately 40% of energy efficiency compared to conventional datacenters.

The project is supported by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as JCM Demonstration Project.
