In The Nikkei Veritas 20th annual ranking of the top analysts in Japan, analysts at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities won the top honors in the precision instruments, retail (specialty/apparel), construction, IT/Internet,and economist sectors. Mitsubishi UFJ Securities also placed third, for three years running, in terms of the overall company ranking.

The divisions engaged in the fixed income business conduct research and analysis of bond markets, analysis of macroeconomic and financial conditions in Japan and overseas,and economic forecasts, which are disseminated in a timely manner via periodically published reports and electronic media. Direct consultations with clients are another way we are working to provide information that is useful in forming the basis for investment decisions. In The Nikkei Veritas 13th annual analyst rankings, one of our bond analysts earned the second-place ranking. Furthermore, other analysts were ranked fifth in the economist and credit analyst sectors. In June 2008, we established an Asia Research Project Office as part of our management strategy of reinventing Mitsubishi UFJ Securities as an Asian securities firm. Through collaboration with leading Asian financial institutions such as Kim Eng Holdings Limited,with whom we have an equity-based alliance, we are providing information on macroeconomic conditions, industries and individual corporations related to Asian stocks.
